(HKR-09-02-22) We speak with a long-time reporter and foreign correspondent Ann Garrison about the war in Ethiopia and how the US, via insidious, imperialistic policies, has a hand in what some describe as a significant humanitarian crisis. We talk about bills the Biden administration is hoping to get passed that will bring about crippling sanctions that will satisfy US interests while severely upending Ethiopia.
Later on, in the show, we speak with Tajai from the group Souls of Mischief about the 10th annual Hiero Day, which is taking place this weekend. We talk about the impact Covid 19 and the pandemic had on what has become a signature event for the group and the city of Oakland. He updates us on the many projects the group has been doing. He talks about how many of the members have taken on other endeavors outside of music, including Tajai being a well-respected architect.
