50 Years ago (May 19 1970) The Last Poets released a landmark album which bore their name. It was an album that exploded on the Black Arts Movement scene and caught everyone’s attention, including the FBI who decided the subject matter they addressed and the consciousness they were raising needed to be monitored closely via their Cointel Pro programs.
This album had songs that are now immortalized including ‘Niggers Are Scared of Revolution’, ‘When the Revolution Comes’, ‘I Wish’ and ‘Two Little Boys’ to name a few…
