On Wednesday (07-14-21) Oakland residents rallied outside the Oakland A’s headquarters in Jack London Square. They called on the As management and owner to honor the community agreements they asked folks to come up with around the building of a proposed ballpark at Howard Terminal.
Folks held signs and chanted ‘Our Town Our Terms’. They called on the A’s owner John Fisher to invest more funds in the community as part of the project. We spoke with organizers about affordable housing, jobs for Oakland residents and the upcoming critical vote on the A’s Howard Terminal proposal, scheduled for July 20th.
