Looking Back at the Bombing of Black Wall Street (Tulsa Massacre ) 100 Years Later

We speak with historian Dr. Kimberley Ellis aka Dr Goddess about the Tulsa Race Riots of 2021 and what happened to the Greenwood section of town which was known as Black Wall Street. Dr. Ellis gives a thorough breakdown of the tragic events that led up to what was actually a massacre. She talks about the Black people in Tulsa who attempted to protect the community but were outnumbered and outgunned. She talks about the insidious tactic used by the local sheriff that led to the destruction of Black Wall Street….Dr. Ellis also talks about the new laws being passed all over the country designed to prevent schools from teaching the history of Black wall street and race.
