We speak w/ Civil Rights attorney Adante Pointer about the recent revelation that 47 Alameda County sheriff deputies have been removed from duty because of failed psychiatric exams. The was unearthed after a deputy was arrested for double homicide. Sheriff Greg Ahearn had known about the failed tests since 2016 but allowed unqualified and potentially mentally unstable deputies to patrol our streets. Pointer breaks down the long-term and impactful implications. He notes that many cases have been compromised with folks who may have falsely been imprisoned or brutalized by unqualified sheriff deputies. Pointer has put out a call to action.
