HKR-06-25-20: We speak with Pastor Ben McBride about the rally in Louisville and Frankfort, Kentucky to demand justice for Breonna Taylor. More than three months after police fatally shot Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman, in her home, protesters are increasing the pressure on authorities to bring criminal charges against the three officers involved.
Pastor McBride also speaks about the rampant voter suppression efforts that impacted the Kentucky primaries which took place the day before.
And later, we speak with Dr. Gerald Horne from the University of Houston about the collapse of capitalism due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19). We talk to him about income inequality and how that has impacted the way Black peoople are enaging the pandemic.
